Thieves assaulted and tied up Bassetlaw man before making off with jewellery

A man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary after a man was allegedly tied up in his own home in the Retford area of Nottinghamshire.

Police were called out to the Grove area at around 7.30pm on February 16 after receiving a report that a man had been assaulted and tied up while a substantial amount of jewellery was stolen by two masked men.

The 26 year-old man arrested this morning (May 18) remains in police custody.
