Nottinghamshire members of The Order of St Lazarus raised more than £1,000 from an afternoon tea in honour of the Queen’s 90th birthday.

The Nottinghamshire commandery of the order is the King Offa commandery which covers the whole of Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire and draws members from all parts of those two counties.

The tea was organised by Confrere John Bullock and his team and was led by Commander Mario Rizzardi and marshalled by Peter Salt.

The Order of St Lazarus is still, in part, both a military and hospitaller order with the onjective of putting on events that are both varied and enjoyable and that also raise money for those suffering from leprosy both abroad and in Britain today.
