The 24-year-old barmaid, from Eastwood, is one of 30 women on the ITV programme who are hoping to bag a date with one of the eligible bachelors from the ‘love lift’.

She applied to go on the show as a confidence boost after splitting up with her boyfriend of two years.

And although she first applied as “a bit of a joke”, Jade said being on the programme was a “once in a lifetime opportunity”.

She said: “I can’t even begin to explain what it was like... I loved every second of it.

“There’s no competition with the other girls because we just had loads of fun and cheered each other on.

“They were all so amazing and it was nice to be part of that.”

And getting to work with the shows host, Paddy McGuinness, was another highlight for Jade.

“Paddy is amazing,” she said. “He is so lovely and down to Earth.

“He is just like a big brother.”

And now that some episodes of the show has been aired, Jade has become a bit of a local celebrity.

“I can’t even go to Morrisons now without getting recognised.

“Within three aisles, three people came up to me and asked if I was on Take Me Out - it was so funny.

“And I had a message from somebody on Twitter the other day because I look a little bit different and they like that.

“It is a bit weird. I don’t see myself as a celebrity.”

We are four episodes in and so far, we haven’t seen Jade bag herself a date to the Isle of Fernando’s.

But even though the whole series has already been filmed, the bachelorette won’t even tell her closest friends and family whether she managed to bag a date in the end.

People keep asking me if I got a date or not... it is driving me up the wall,” she added.

“Even my family don’t know if I got anything, it is killing them!”

So could it be “no likey, no lighty” for our Jade?
