Sutton man's trial for wooden bat offence

A Sutton man will stand trial for chasing a man with a wooden bat, a court has heard.

Timothy Rice, 27, of Barker Avenue, denied possessing an offensive weapon, when he appeared at Mansfield Magistrates Court, on Wednesday, but admitted using threatening behaviour.

It is alleged the offences took place on January 23.

The trial will take place in Mansfield on May 3.
