Suspended prison term

A WORKSOP man was given a suspended prison sentence for assaulting his partner.

Anthony Fidler, 31, of Cavendish Road admitted assaulting his partner on 29th September. He also admitted using threatening words or behaviour to staff at a petrol station in Worksop on 8th June.

Magistrates sentenced him to 120 days in prison for assault and 30 days in prison for threatening behaviour, suspended 12 months. He will also attend an alcohol treatment programme.
