Supermarket charity boost

AUTISM charity NORSACA has been given a welcome boost from Sainsbury’s in Worksop.

Staff at the Highgrounds Road supermarket presented service users with a cheque for £500 towards their workshop project.

It will help convert the garage at NORSACA, in Raines Avenue, Worksop, into a workshop so students can make bird boxes in the winter. The money came from Sainsbury’s Community Grant scheme which is funded by the sale of Bags For Life.

“Our store is at the heart of the local community and it is important that we can do as much as we can to support it,” said store manager Crispin On.

“As NORSACA are our local partnership we are supporting this wonderful charity in any way possible.”

To date, customers and colleagues at Sainsbury’s in Worksop have raised £675 towards their £2,000 target for NORSACA.

The charity supports people with autism from Notts, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and nearby counties.
