Students took part in a Syria pledging conference
Students from Frances Olive Anderson Primary School in Gainsborough took part in a a worldwide Syria pledging conference which helped raise more than $10billion to support Syria and the region.
The students were able to meet high profile delegates including the education campaigner Malala Yousafzai.
The students spent the day talking about their experience of being paired with a school in Beirut as part of Connecting Classrooms programme funded by the UK government which involves the children having regular catch ups with their friends in Beirut over Skype, and the teachers swapping lesson plans and tips with their Lebanese counterparts.
