Students enjoy London trip

Pupils from Wales High travelled to London recently to mark Commonwealth Day.

The eight students and staff visited the Wallace Collection, a national museum in a historic London town house, before attending the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey.

At the service they saw the Queen and other members of the royal family and were treated to a special performance of Hallelujah, sang by Rufus Wainwright.

They also enjoyed lunch at an African themed restaurant.

“I was really overwhelmed and excited to be in the presence of our Queen and it was really great to hear Hallelujah sang in the Abbey,” said pupil Millie Wright.
