Stow: Five crews tackling huge straw fire

Crews from Gainsborough, North Lincoln, South Lincoln and Saxilby are at the incident, which saw approximately 500 straw bales go up in flames inside a large agricultural building.

A 500 metre corndon has been placed around the scene and any roads within that cordon have been closed, raising the potential for traffic disruption elsewhere on surrounding roads.

All five crews have been at the scene since around 8.25am this morning (Tuesday, 14th January) and the cordon is likely to remain in place for some time yet.

There are no details at this stage as to what caused the blaze.
