Staycation summer

Considering the torrential downpours and seemingly never ending rain at the start of the season, it’s not been a bad one after all.

In June and early July when the brollies were out every day, we were starting to regret booking a ‘staycation’ in Dorset.

Friends heading off on foreign holidays gave me pitying looks when I told them our destination.

But our faith was rewarded with glorious sunshine and time spent on some of the most beautiful beaches we have visited, either here or abroad.
