St Anne's pupils are out and about in Sherwood Forest
The children have enjoyed a walk around the local area, a visit to Worksop Town Football Club, and a visit to Sherwood Forest.
At Sherwood, they met a medieval outlaw called Robin of Wentworth, who shared stories about Robin Hood and medieval life.

Robin was so impressed with their behaviour on the day they were allowed to get up close to the Major Oak.
In the afternoon the children were set a challenge to build a large waterproof den using natural materials found in the forest.
These were tested by the children trying to fit inside and then Robin throwing water over their dens – with varying degrees of success.
Maisie, a year two pupil, said: “I liked den building especially when we tested them and we got wet.”

Rosie, a year one pupil, added: “I liked going inside the Minor Oak because I’ve never been inside a tree before.”
Stephanie Robinson, the year one class teacher said ”The experiences the children have had has made their learning even more memorable and they have returned to school enthused and ready to learn.”
