‘Some kids get nothing’

GENEROUS Worksop residents are being asked to come forward and help make Christmas special for underprivileged kids.

For 20 years, David Hawke Property Services have run a toy appeal for children in care.

Once again, they need YOUR help.

“It’s obscene to think that some kids in our area get everything while others get absolutely nothing,” said Val Casey from David Hawke.

“Someone needs to stand up for them and do something.”

Val continued: “We’ve been helping underprivileged children and families for 20 years now - and there are more now than ever before.”

Staff at David Hawke want to do all they can to show less fortunate kids the true meaning of Christmas.

“Everybody bangs on about Santa, but some kids wake up on Christmas morning to nothing,” said Val. “We need businesses and local businesses to help out.”

“We need more local businesses to come forward with donations - we give to them all year around and they should give something back at Christmas.”

All who make a donation are entered into a prize raffle being drawn on Monday 19th December.

To make a donation, you can take your toys along to David Hawke Property Services at 84 Bridge Street or call 01909 531450 to arrange a pick up.
