The Met Office are currently forecasting that Friday morning will be cloudy in the East Midlands, with uncertainty over whether there will be sufficient breaks in the cloud to view the eclipse.

The eclipse will begin at around 9.30am and - weather permitting - will be seen across the UK for a period of about two hours.
