Social housing provider Acis and its joint venture company Galatia, based in Gainsborough, have chosen the Teenage Cancer Trust as their charity of the year following an internal ballot and 17 of their workers challenged themselves to a charity hike 1,085 metres up Mount Snowdon.

Galatia’s Sophie Scott was one of those to make the trek up Mount Snowdon. She said: “It was an amazing experience with amazing people. I would encourage anyone to do it. It was an exhilarating experience.”

An Acis spokesman said: “It’s clear from our charity ballot that the work the Teenage Cancer Trust does is close to our people’s hearts and we look forward to taking part in some great events and activities over the next year to raise as much money as possible for the charity.”
