Nottinghamshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner has revealed six candidates have been shortlisted for the post of Nottinghamshire Chief Constable.
Paddy Tipping said: “Nottinghamshire Police’s reputation for improvement and innovation is growing and I’m delighted so many highly-qualified individuals want to join us to lead this hard-working force.
“The successful candidate will take over the helm of a fast-paced organisation which is one of the most successful in terms of reducing crime.
“We cannot afford to get this wrong and so it is reassuring that we have such a pool of talent from which to make our decision.”
It is anticipated the new Chief Constable will be in position by April 1, 2017, taking over from Chief Constable Sue Fish.
