Sing out at dementia music group

A NEW singing group for people living with dementia is being launched by the Alzheimer’s Society in Worksop.

The first Singing for the Brain session will take place on 11th January and the group will offer people with dementia an opportunity to enjoy musical activity and aims to help reduce isolation.

Sessions will be held at the Alzheimer’s Society, The Centre, Northumberland Avenue, Worksop, from 1.30-3.30pm for eight weeks. Angela Warren, from the Alzheimer’s Society, said: “Singing for the Brain provides an opportunity to build friendships, gain support and share experiences with people who understand the issues surrounding living with dementia.”
