Silver success for local firefighter
Lincolnshire firefighter Ken Baker has won a mountain bike downhill silver medal in the World Fire and Police Games in Belfast.
Ken has worked for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue for over 25 years at Gainsborough Station and the South Park headquarters.
He said: “Featuring loads of jumps and drops, it was a really challenging course. It was quite close between first and second place, but the camaraderie between me and the winner was great.
“It’s always been a dream to compete in these games, so I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to take part.”
