Kerry Marie Hall, 30, of Hardwick Road West, was convicted of another matter of theft at Nottingham Crown Court on March 23, but the shoplifting charges were returned to Mansfield Magistrates’ Court for sentencing.

Hall appeared via video-link from HM Prison Foston Hall in Derbyshire.

David Carr, prosecuting, said: “They were all low value thefts. They were all recorded on CCTV and the items were recovered.”

The court heard Hall had stolen £76 worth of items stolen from the One Stop Shop, £42 from the Co-Op in Carlton on Lindrick, and £25 from Marks & Spencer.

David Verity, mitigating, said: “She is finding it very difficult in prison. She has been picked on and bullied.

“She wants to re-establish herself and remain drug-free.

“The background was a serious problem relating to drugs.”

Magistrates sentenced her to 12 weeks to run at the same time as the existing sentence.
