Shireoaks: Pupils enjoy a food lesson with a difference

Pupils from St Luke’s Primary School at Shireoaks had a tour of their local Tesco as part of the supermarket’s new Food to Fork scheme that helps youngsters learn more about where the food on their plate comes from.

The children visited the grocery, delicatessen, fish, produce and bakery departments where they sugared their own doughnuts and tasted fruit from around the world.

Each child also took a goody bag home.
