This award went towards Phase Two of the club’s upgrade which was to replace the pavilion doors and windows.

The pavilion is regularly used by football and bowls teams along with their visitors and is used by an indoor games league and country music club.

Various local organisations also use the Pavilion for meetings and fund-raising events.

Rachel Barrowcliffe of the Sports & Social Club said: “We are grateful to The Mansfield for providing these funds which have allowed us to complete this phase of our project.

“The next step is to replace the exterior cladding and insulate the walls which is our target for 2016.”

Brian Seddon, The Mansfield’s information systems manager, Brian Seddons added: “The Mansfield is pleased to help a club that supports people of all ages in our local area.

“The commitment given so far to raise funds for this project is great to see and we wish them well with the next phase of the project.”
