Shireoaks: Are daffodils the sign that spring is finally on its way?
After seemingly months of wind, rain and miserable weather, there are signs everywhere that some more pleasant days are on their way.
The sun is shining more, the rain has gone away, for now, and the days are brighter in the mornings and evenings as we head towards spring.
And at Shireoaks Sports & Social Club, nature has provided its own clue that things are warming up with a whole raft of daffodils starting flower at the venue and adding some colour to the land outside the club.
“Hopefully this means spring is on its way,” said club member Rachel Barrowcliffe.
