A big crowd is expected to cheer on Wednesday when they entertain relegation-haunted Charlton Athletic tomorrow looking to further bolster their top-six credentials ahead of the final international break. Ticket prices have been slashed and officials are hoping for a bumper turnout close to 30,000.

Czech Republic international Pudil is determined to help Carlos Carvalhal’s troops reach the Championship Play-Off Final. The left-back was part of the Watford side beaten by Crystal Palace in the showpiece knockout tournament three years ago.

“I went to Wembley once with Watford and I would love to get to the final again,” he told The Star. “I want to win it this time.

“I will do everything I can to help the club get into the Premier League but we know we have to be focused with nine games left.

“We have to go game by game and make sure we beat Charlton.”

Despite Wednesday lying only nine points off second-placed Brighton and Hove Albion, Pudil has given up hope of securing automatic promotion.

He said: “The top two is far away now. There is a big gap between us and them so we have to focus on the play-offs.

“First of all, we have to seal our play-off place and then enjoy the moment.

“It is going to be really hard as there are so many teams fighting to get into the top-six. There are five or six teams so it will be really difficult and we know that but we have got Ipswich and Cardiff at home so they will be really important games for us.”

Tickets are priced at £20 for adults, £15 concessions, £10 Under-17s and £5 U11s in any home area.
