Pudil, on loan from Watford until the end of the season, has featured 42 times for Championship Play-Off finalists Wednesday this term.

The 30-year-old has repeatedly expressed his desire to join the Owls on a permanent basis. He hopes his loan will be turned into a full-time switch this summer.

For now, Pudil’s top priority is helping Wednesday reach the Premier League. Carlos Carvalhal’s men face Hull City in the Final on Saturday, May 28, kick-off 5pm.

Pudil, a member of the Watford team who lost to Crystal Palace at Wembley three years ago, is one of five English-based players to be selected in the Czech squad.

Arsenal pair Peter Cech and Tomas Rosicky, Reading striker Matej Vydra and Brighton and Hove Albion winger Jiri Skalek have also made the cut.
