Carlos Carvalhal’s troops entertain financially troubled Bolton Wanderers tonight chasing a fourth successive home win.

The Owls are currently on an 11-match unbeaten streak at home in all competitions, with their only defeat coming at the end of August to Championship leaders Middlesbrough.

Thai businessman Chansiri splashed out £1m on laying a new pitch at Hillsborough last summer and installed a new scoreboard.

Nuhiu, who bagged the winner in Saturday’s FA Cup triumph over Fulham, has told The Star: “First of all, I think everyone can see that the pitch is better and that makes a big difference.

“It is a completely different type of environment at home from last season. Everything has turned around and we are picking up more points at home than away and that’s how it should be.

“Some things have changed around the stadium and training ground and I think that’s credit to the owner. He wants to update things even more and to become a football club who wants to challenge to be in the top division.

“Credit the manager for the work he has done with us in turning it around. We are following his way and are sticking together as a team.”

Four-goal striker Nuhiu, out of contract at the end of the season, is in contention to start against Bolton, having stepped up off the bench to make a big impact last weekend. He will be vying with Portugal international Lucas Joao for a striking berth.
