Sheffield Wednesday: '˜Angry' McGeady urged to earn permanent Owls move
Having arrived on loan from Everton until the end of the season, the 29-year-old trained with his new teammates for the first time yesterday and goes straight into the squad for tonight’s crucial Championship encounter with Burnley.
The talented winger, who began his career at Celtic, has only made one appearance for the Toffees this campaign.

Head coach Carlos Carvalhal is a big admirer of McGeady and revealed he tried to sign the Republic of Ireland international when he was in charge of Sporting Lisbon.
On potentially turning his loan into a full-time switch, Carvalhal said: “It depends on how Aiden adapts and settles in. We must then consider the business side.
“Like we have done with other players, we will see how Aiden does and then afterwards take these kind of decisions.”
Several other Championship clubs, including Blackburn Rovers and Leeds United, expressed an interest in signing McGeady on a temporary basis.

“Aiden is a player that can improve the team and will help us in the second part of the season,” insisted Carvalhal. “It was good for him to play in different cultures, he understands different systems, different ways to play.
“Aiden has a big personal challenge because he wants to be in the European (Championship) with the national team. He’s angry and wants to do well. He can play on the left, on the right, he can play also behind the striker. You want to bring these players to your team because they have quality.”
