Sheffield United: A new name will be emblazoned across The Blades' first team jerseys next season

Sheffield United have unveiled their new shirt sponsor.

Ramsdens, a company specialising in foreign currency exchange and jewellery retail, will replace Teletext Holidays across the front of the Championship club’s jerseys after signing a one year agreement for an undisclosed six figure sum.

Paul Reeves, United’s head of commercial, confirmed the deal could be extended for a further 12 months.

Ramsdens chief cxecutive Peter Kenyon said: “We are very proud of this new partnership.

Sheffield is a huge city where football is very much part of the local community.

“That, coupled with the continued development of the city, made this a really exciting opportunity to explore.”

“We have worked extremely hard to secure this new commercial partnership,” Reeves added. “Ramsdens is a business that has seen significant growth over recent years and matches the club with their ambitious plans for the future. We look forward to developing a successful relationship with Peter and his team.”
