Stefano Braghin, general manager of the Serie A champions’ youth sector, has accepted an invitation to visit South Yorkshire before the end of the season after being approached by the 30-year-old and his staff earlier this term.

“We’ve got Juventus coming across as part of a fact-finding mission for us,” Binnion, United’s academy manager, told The Star. “We’re hungry to learn, we’ve been on study visits abroad and we’ve invited them to come in and share best practice ideas with us. They’re definitely coming over and it should be a great opportunity for us.We always try and be open-minded.”

Binnion, a graduate of United’s Steelphalt Academy himself, added: “We’ve learnt from things that have happened in the past. We want to be, pound for pound, the best around. We know we’re not that at the moment but we believe, with hard work, it’s definitely achievable.”
