Sea cadets greet Queen

Worksop Sea Cadets greeted the Queen and Royal party as they visited Nottingham as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The cadets lined the stairs at the council building, where the Duchess of Cambridge commented on their high standards of dress.

Worksop Sea Cadets take a leading part in national events, from marching through London as part of the National Trafalgar day celebrations; to escorting Her Majesty down the Thames.

It is a uniformed youth group providing life skills and fun activities based on the ethos of the Royal Navy and Marines.
