Damon Marrison, 18, applied for the RAF Flying Clubs’ Association junior rank pilot scholarship scheme, which will enable him to receive 15 hours of flying training, with the view to achieving a light aircraft pilot’s licence.

He said: “LLearning to fly has always been unfinished business for me since I stopped flying a few years back, and is still a great ambition of mine which, thanks to the RAF Charitable Trust and RAF Flying Clubs’ Association, I can finally fulfil.”
