Year Three and Year Four children from the school were transformed into a crew of vicious Vikings who enjoyed a day of Viking-themed activities.

Having been pacified, they had a go at making and tasting some Viking bread - which was more popular and tasty when covered in honey.

They designed and painted wooden shields ready for their next battle and made name badges written in Viking runes.

They finished off a busy day with a battle enactment in the playground.
