This year the production was Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies.

This was a funny and fast-moving musical telling the story of how Robin Hood (and Maid Marion) were helped by a group of outlawed entertainers in their efforts to overthrow King John and the evil Sheriff of Nottingham.

The production was put together by teachers Mrs Ledwood and Miss Scott who concentrated on the element of fun.

“If the children are having fun, this shows through to the audience and they are entertained accordingly,” said headmaster Guy Willatt.

“And the packed audiences certainly enjoyed the show.”

“There were many lessons to be learned including music, drama, dance, literacy and storytelling, resilience and risk taking.”

“But most importantly the children worked together as a team to achieve something really memorable, they should all be very proud of themselves.”
