Jason Tune wrote Recovery/Discovery with colleague Tina Morgan about his mental health recovery.

The book is based on his own experiences, including ward life disclosures and his work in the Rotherham Early Intervention Service, which is run by Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.

Tina, who lives in Sheffield but hails from the USA, was so inspired by Jason’s story that she wrote two chapters about her experience with anxiety in the book.

“This book looks at recovery from a psychological, spiritual and philosophical point of view, and discusses the role of spirituality, lifestyle and personal responsibility,” said Jason.

“We are all in some kind of recovery – it could be from debt, divorce, bereavement, and so much more, and I hope that I will inspire others.”

The foreword to the book was written by Dr Sayed Hussain, a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Recovery/Discovery follows Jason’s autobiographical books, Sex, Drugs and Rock Northern Soul and Stigma: Worse than Psychosis.
