Rotherham: College saves a permanent period in time

Catering and hospitality staff at Rotherham College joined together with the principal and chief executive, Gill Alton, to say goodbye to the old restaurant by burying a time capsule.

The capsule included a visitor’s book, a current menu, promotional leaflets, college freebies and the brand new college course guide.

Alison Lomax, curriculum leader and restaurant manager, said: “Everyone involved agrees that the time capsule is a fantastic idea and a great way of marking the end of an era in The Wharncliffe.”
