Rotherham: Charities benefit from ale and music festival

Organisers of The Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival proved that ‘there’s no place like Rome’, after donning togas to celebrate raising £40,000 for local good causes at this year’s event.

The proceeds of ‘Baa’sil Goes West’, the 21st time that the popular four-day event has taken place, will be divided equally between Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, the Rotherham Hospice, Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity and the Magna educational trust, with each receiving a £10,000 share from the proceeds raised at the event.
