REVIEW: Musicality Singers part of a memorable night
The concert, a collaboration between popular Worksop choir, The Musicality Singers, Thurcroft Welfare Brass Band and the Percussion Band Nuenen, from
Holland, took place in front of a very appreciative and larger than expected audience.

There were some outstanding numbers from each of the collaborative partners.
The percussion group produced music from broom handles, plastic tubes, African drums and more traditional instruments, which was as brilliant as it was as unexpected.
There was a stunning, Czardas, a Hungarian dance, on marimba, from the percussion group supported by Thurcroft and a great version of Knock on Wood performed by the percussion group on broom handles.
Thurcroft delighted with Lord of the Dance and Dragonheart.

For The Musicality Singers, the main highlights were heart-rendingly beautiful versions of All Through the Night, Ave Maria and the always crowd pleasing,
Phantom of the Opera.
All in all, it was a great evening.
Here’s to Carlton Civic Centre and more evenings like this.
