Retford: TSB raise £200 in funds for Sophie Stainthorpe

The TSB bank in Retford has raised over £200 for local girl, Sophie Stainthorpe, who was badly injured in a road accident and suffered a severe brain injury.

Sophie and her family fundraise to support the charities that helped her.

These charities include the Great North Air Ambulance, The Sick Children’s Trust and Newlife, amongst others. The prize, a hamper of luxury goods, was raffled off in branch and raised over £200 to support Sophie’s charities.

Ralph Worby, Branch Manager at TSB in Retford, said: “’Everyone here at TSB in Retford was touched by Sophie’s story.”

“We really wanted to do something to raise money for the many charities that have helped her.”

“I’d like to thank everyone who bought a raffle ticket.”

“I’d also like to thanks staff member Lucy Round from the TSB team who worked with Sophie’s family including her Grandad, Martin Allen, to organise the fundraising.”

The hamper was won by customer Mrs Ruth Owen.
