Retford: TSB praise residents for raising cash

Generous Retford residents have been praised by the town’s TSB branch for raising over £1,000 for several charities over the past year.

The branch, on High Street, has just celebrated its first anniversary since TSB was launched on 9th September 2013.

In the past 12 months a ‘Walk to Work’ and raffle have been held to support Retford’s Alzheimer’s Memory Group, a ‘Guess the Name of the Bear’ game in support of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and two colleagues also participated in the Race For Life raising £930 between them and volunteers also helped out at the Retford Half Marathon.

Ralph Worby, TSB branch manager in Retford, said: “We want to say thank-you to our customers for their support over the past year.”

“We are thrilled to be celebrating being back on Retford’s high street for one year.”

“We have worked hard to serve the local community over the past year.”

“We are proud of everything we have achieved.”
