Retford: Specsavers urges charity nominations

Specsavers in Retford in running a raffle next week with proceeds going to Visually Impaired Bowls England and a charity of Retford’s choice.

Tickets are £1 each and will be offered to all customers in store having an eye test during Men’s Health Week, which runs from 10th to 14th June.

The winner will have the cost of their glasses refunded.

The store, on Market Place, is asking people to pop in before 10th June and nominate a charity of their choice.

Store director Karen Allan said: “We feel it is vitally important to raise awareness of Men’s Health Week. An eye test is an extremely important health check.”

“The optometrist checks the health of your eyes and can find indications of other medical conditions such as glaucoma, detached retinas or macular holes. Regular eye tests are essential for clear, comfortable vision.”
