Retford: Racist assault in Retord Market Place

Notts Police are appealing for information after a man allegedly assaulted another man in Retford Market Place, after racially abusing him.

The attack happened around 3.45am on Sunday 5th January.

The victim was walking through the area, when the suspect subjected him to racist language, before punching him in the face.

Shortly afterwards a scuffle broke out between the offender and victim.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the unprovoked assault, or with any information about the person responsible.
