Retford: Man caught stealing bottles of cider from One Stop

A Retford man has been convicted of stealing bottles of alcohol from a convenience store in Worksop.

Andrew Scarborough, 26 of Nelson Street, pleaded guilty at Worksop Magistrates’ Court to the thefts.

On 28th August, Scarborough walked into One Stop on Retford Road and stole a bottle of cider worth £3.99. The following day he did the same thing.

Scarborough was seen by staff who alerted the police on the 29th August.

He was searched and arrested on Retford Road by the police that day.

Scarborough received a 6-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £85 costs, a £15 victim surcharge and £7.98 in compensation to One Stop.
