Stealing bags full of children’s clothes has landed a Retford drug addict in court.

Ian Joseph Hamilton, 35, of Darrel Road, admitted theft from ASDA at Worksop Magistrates’ Court.

The court heard how on two consecutive days, 27th and 28th April this year, Hamilton went into the Wharf Road supermarket and filled bags with kids clothes.

The goods were worth at least £42.

He was arrested afterwards and has tested positive for drugs.

District Judge Diane Baker gave him a 12 month community order including probation supervision and enrolment on a drug rehabilitation programme.
