Restraining order for harassment

A CLOWNE man who made insulting and threatening gestures towards his former neighbours has been banned from contacting them.

Raymond Field, 40, was sitting in a parked car on 7th May last year, when he made an abusive gesture towards a member of the Keeton family.

Field, of Bramlyn Close, Clowne, denied harassment between 1st May and 2nd August but was convicted following a trial.

He was given a one-year probation supervision order, with 60 hours unpaid work and £100 costs. The bench also imposed a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting the Keetons for four years.
