Resident rescued from flat fire

A person had to be led to safety following a flat fire in Worksop.

Crews were called to the blaze on Gloucester Road just after 7pm last night, Sunday, August 16.

Two appliances from Worksop Fire Station and one from Retford were called out and found the flat well alight on arrival.

They used a hose-reel jet, two breathing apparatus and a ventilation fan to bring it under control.

Surrounding flats also suffered smoke damage.
