Remembering loved ones

Christmas is a time of joy and happiness when families come together to celebrate.

But it can also be a difficult time, when people remember loved ones who are no longer with them.

With that in mind, independent funeral director Michelle Skelson has created a butterfly memory tree.

“The tree means families who have lost a loved one can come along and hang a butterfly with a message on the tree,” said Michelle.

“It helps to keep the family spirit alive at this time of year.”

“Anybody is welcome to come in and place a message on the tree. And if anyone can’t get along if they call me I can take a butterfly to them so they can write their message and I will place it on the tree for them.”

Michelle is also holding a carol service at the Priory Church tomorrow (Saturday) at 11am.
