Ranby: Woman sentenced for taking drugs into prison
A woman who admitted conveying substances into Ranby Prison has been given a suspended sentence.
Zoey Aitken, 25, of South Crescent, Duckmanton, Derbyshire, pleaded guilty to three offences on 1st February this year.
They involved synthetic controlled substances of the type known as black mamba, which mimic the effect of cannabis, Nottingham Crown Court heard.
They were originally legal ‘highs’ but are now class B under the drugs act.
Aitken was sentenced to nine months suspended for two years.
