A man and a woman have been taken to hospital after their car overturned on the A620 Straight Mile outside Ranby Prison this morning (Wednesday, 13th August).

The incident occurred around 7.15am and involved just one vehicle but caused lengthy traffic jams and congestion around the area.

Firefighters from Retford were called to the scene but the pair had managed to free themselves before the fire crew arrived.

Fire crews made the scene safe while the driver and passenger of the car were taken to hospital by ambulance.

No-one else was involved in the incident and the traffic congestion is now starting to ease.
