Ramsden Primary School are celebrating a 'good' Ofsted inspection

Governors, teachers and children at Ramsden Primary School in Carlton-in-Lindrick are delighted to announce that they have been officially announced as being good in all areas after a recent Ofsted inspection.

The school in High Road, Carlton-in-Lindrick, was rated as good in all the categories during its last inspectionin February.

The two previous Ofsted inspections both resulted in requires improvement.

Chair of Governors, said: “This recent success is undoubtedly due to the massive improvements made under the new direction introduced by headteacher, Christopher Wilson, who has only been in position at Ramsden for just 18 months. He has developed a strong management team who have been keen to implement all his ideas. The management team, teachers and children have worked extremely hard to achieve this fantastic result for the school.”

Headteacher, Christopher Wilson, said: “It is great to get the school back to where it should be and the current situation reflects the efforts of all the staff and children and the Ramsden family moto, Fortune Favours the Brave.”

The areas for improvement which were identified was leadership and management by ensuring that the school improvement priorities have measureable success criteria to enable governors to hold leaders to account, subject leaders checking more closely on the quality of teaching and learning for their subjects to address any weaknesses promptly and ensure good progress for the most-able pupils and improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment to raise pupils’ outcomes, particularly in Key Stage 1.
