Raiders in £13k theft

THIEVES hot-wired electrical shutters in a £13,000 smash and grab at a Worksop pawnbrokers, a court heard last week.

The raiders then used a rock or brick to smash a hole in the window at Cash Generator on Bridge Street in Worksop.

Two men were caught on CCTV at 1.40am on 18th June.

They did not go into the premises, Nottingham Crown Court was told.

Jewellery and electrical goods valued at £13,000 were grabbed.

Daniel Taylor, 20, of Southbeck Rise, Worksop, pleaded guilty on Friday 26th October to burglary of jewellery only.

Judge Jonathan Teare bailed him until sentencing on 16th November.
