Purpose Media, which is based at South Normanton, will work with the IoD on projects which will benefit its 1800 members in the region.

This includes holding joint events that will enable members to network with each other as well as technical seminars with Google and Hubspot that will improve members’ knowledge of digital marketing.

A charity golf day is also planned for October 4 at Morley Hayes Golf Club in aid of NWG Network, a charity which offers support and advice to those working with children who have become subjected to child sexual exploitation.

Purpose Media will also contribute technical articles on e-commerce and digital marketing to raise member awareness of this important route to market.

Ron Lynch, regional director for IoD East Midlands, said: “Members regularly tell us that an important aspect of being a member of the IoD is to meet fellow directors to build better businesses and relationships.

“Working closely with companies like Purpose Media enables us to offer these learning opportunities and deliver even more benefits to members.”

Purpose Media managing director Matt Wheatcroft addsaid: “I became an IoD member last year having been shortlisted for the entrepreneur of the year award. I have already seen many benefits. We recently exhibited in London at “A meet the manufacturer” event and it was great to be able to entertain key customers and prospects within Pall Mall. The ambience created a fantastic first impression and helped us win new work.”

Purpose Media was founded in 2009 and has won 15 business awards in recognition of its growth and the impact it has had on the profitability of its customers. Its latest gains include the Customer Focus Initiative Award in this year’s Chad Business Awards.

The company provides creative design, video production and online marketing consultancy to more than 600 local businesses including Derby County Football Club, Derbyshire County Cricket Club and online golf clothing and accessory retailer www.golfsupport.com.
