Pupils wear purple for polio
Over the past few weeks children at Worksop schools have been taking part in various activities to fundraise and support the Purple for Polio campaign.
Steven Walker, headteacher at Redlands Primary and Nursery School in Worksop, said: “So far we have raised more than £1,000 which will be matched 2:1 by the Bill Gates Foundation.
“The fundraising came about through the schools’ involvement with the Worksop junior Council and is one of many projects that the Worksop Family of Schools support over the course of the academic year.”
